Abstract

This dossier brings together some reflections on the integration Art-Science, developed from a contemporary perspective. The compendium of texts presents interdisciplinary dialogues from different fields: visual and performing arts, music, video, mathematics, natural sciences, epistemology, aesthetics, artistic and scientific readings of nature, science communication, and creative processes, among others. The main objective is to contribute to the understanding of this integration, diversifying and expanding interpretations, and suggesting new topics of interest. The narratives go from stories of personal experiences of scientists and artists to academic investigations conducted by scholars on the subject.

Mariela B. Hernández, Instituto de Humanidades, Artes e Ciências Professor Milton Santos Universidade Federal da Bahia

Mariela B. Hernández é professora da Universidade Federal da Bahia, onde atua no Bacharelado Interdisciplinar em Artes e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Museologia. Suas áreas de pesquisa são a arte cinética e as relações entre arte e ciência. É Bacharel em Artes, pela Universidad Central de Venezuela, e Mestre e Doutora em Artes Visuais, pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
