This paper reflects on the consequences that the “post-truth” experience, in the postmodern context, could have on the possibilities of literary creation. Central structure of literary production is representation, based on originary words, and this is, in essence, the very structure of truth. In this sense, literature is that most radically tells the truth, and therefore would be able to escape from postmodern Diktat according to which there is no more truth. The theoretical themes of the article are experimentally applied to the novel Os cus de Judas, written by Lobo Antunes.
