SENTIMENTO DE PERTENCIMENTO EM UM CONTEXTO DE DESASTRES SOCIOAMBIENTAIS: SANTO EDUARDO, CAMPOS DOS GOYTACAZES, RJ
Abstract
The article aims to analyze the influence of the feeling of belonging to the place in the residents of Santo Eduardo,13th district of Campos dos Goytacazes, located in the interior of the state of Rio de Janeiro , in a context of socio-environmental disasters from the residents reports derive from the semi-structured interviews realized in the domain of the project “Mobilização social e enfrentamento de desastres ambientais em Campos dos Goytacazes, no norte fluminense/RJ: existência e resistência frente à ausência de direitos”. To do that was used the category “Place”, originating from humanistic geography, and from the production of authors in the relative area in accord with studies referring to the feeling of belonging, aiming to obtain theoretical support in the analysis of the contents of the interviews. It was found that this bond is an important element in the permanence of residents in the district, even in the context of environmental disasters.
