O AVANÇO DAS AGENDAS NEOLIBERAL E NEOCONSERVADORA E O PROCESSO DE DESDEMOCRATIZAÇÃO NO BRASIL CONTEMPORÂNEO

Abstract

As a result of an extensive bibliographic research on Brazilian social formation and its most recent conjuncture, particularly the conflicts and the articulation of interests that built and executed the legal-parliamentary coup of 2016, as well as its consequences, the article intends to offer some elements for the problematization of the meaning of this coup, considering its links with the ultraneoliberal and neoconservative agenda that deepens aspects of the racist, sexist and patriarchal agenda beyond class inequalities. It also intends to point out the resistance to this alliance, represented by the “new Right”, carried out by social movements, emphasizing the role of women against the advance of neoliberalism and the process of depoliticization and its replacement by moralism. The presence of authors, national and foreign, is justified by the complexity of the challenges posed by the context of the advance of financial capitalism and its strategies in the deconstruction of the democratization of Brazilian society, a project still in progress.
