Abstract

This essay proposes to highlight the organization of black social movements, and the social service in Brazil. The primacy is in the emphasis of Brazilian social movements, revealing not only the power and relevance of black struggles in the country, but also the positive re-elaboration that it can denote the sociopolitical activities of social workers. The dialectic in the relationship between theory and ethical-political action of Social Work, among other things, critically puts in check the societal projects that centralize the State as a priority propagator of violations of rights and violence. Signaling, the emergence of alternative world projects that envision overcoming the current economic and political structure where the prevailing "civilization" disintegrates the forms of human social relations. In the midst of alternative and counter-hegemonic societal projects, we emphasize black Brazilian social movements.
