Educação ambiental na Polícia Militar da Bahia: percepções dos policiais militares da Companhia de Polícia de Proteção Ambiental

A Companhia de Polícia de Proteção Ambiental (COPPA), unidade da Polícia Militar do Estado da Bahia, desde 1979, é responsável por realizar o policiamento ostensivo com vistas à proteção da biodiversidade e manutenção do ambiente propício à vida. O objetivo deste trabalho é conhecer qual a percepção que os policiais militares que trabalham nesta Unidade militar têm a respeito da Educação Ambiental, resgatando o estoque de representações sociais da atividade, num dado momento histórico, através do procedimento metodológico do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Os resultados obtidos permitem conhecer o quanto as ideologias, os valores e as crenças do grupo, influenciam na pecepção que têm da Educação Ambiental e na relação desse processo educativo como atividade policial que desenvolvem.

The Society Environmental Protection Police (COPPA), Military Police unit of the State of Bahia, since 1979, is responsible for performing the ostensible policing aimed at protecting biodiversity and maintaining the environment conducive to life. The objective of this work is to know what the perception that police officers working in this military unit have about environmental education, rescuing the stock of social representations of activity in a given historical moment, through the methodological collective subject discourse procedure. The results allow to know how ideologies, values and beliefs os this group, influencing their perception of environmental education and the relationship os this educational process with the police activity they develop.
