This visual essay derives from the closing chapter of the master's thesis entitled "Passages to a sculptural writing", presented in 2023 at the Programa de Pós-graduação em Artes Visuais da Escola de Belas Artes na Universidade Federal da Bahia (PPGAV/EBA/UFBA). The sculptural character of its procedures concerns the multidimensional textualities made by bodies in their social markers of difference - social class, race, gender and sexuality. Its main objective is to problematize the specificity of aesthetic categories in order to recognize text in the Visual Arts as plastic material to be sculpted from critical, political and poetic perspectives. Presenting a collection of authorial images, this visual essay proposes a methodology for textual creation based on the various forms of writing encountered on the journey between cities over the two years of study.
