Abstract

This article analyzes the practice of Mexican artist Said Dokins, who, through his work, visually maps public spaces using his distinctive calligraphy style, documenting and transforming the places he intervenes. Dokins' work is presented as a visual archive in constant construction, where his interventions function as ephemeral documents of the public realm, fostering a dialogue between memory, place, and community. The significance and impact of Dokins' work are also emphasized, as his interventions have reached diverse spaces worldwide, including contexts shaped by complex political issues that affect various layers of society.
