Abstract

This research aims to analyze the narrative built on the operation Lava Jato and the role of actors of justice in federal investigation, from the journalistic lens of the weekly magazine Veja. It is intended to understand what types of symbols, stereotypes and figures were mobilized - or hidden - to create the representation of the event. The study was developed from the analysis of the specialized literature, especially the work of Luís Felipe Miguel (2011) and Daniele Silva (2017) in which he competes for the concept of "political myth". The documentary corpus was composed of editions of the weekly magazine Veja, among the years 2014 - 2015. Through the study, it was possible to understand that the narrative proposed by the magazine Veja, to some extent, mirrors some stereotypes of the mythical narrative, responsible for designing a dichotomous representation of the event, still in public contest.
