Abstract

This study aims to analyze the political factors associated with cyber-based attacks on the Venezuelan rule of law within the contexts of the 2024 presidential elections and the United States military operation that culminated in the abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. It investigates the extent to which technological warfare intersects with processes challenging the sovereignty of nations that oppose the global geopolitical bloc led by the United States. Furthermore, the study seeks to reflect on the reconfiguration of contemporary forms of geopolitical intervention in Latin America through the lens of categories from contemporary Marxist legal critique. Historical materialism serves as the theoretical-methodological framework, employing research of a theoretical-normative nature with a qualitative approach and inductive reasoning. The research methodology relies on a literature review, utilizing articles, books, and newspaper reports as sources.
