The present work explores the position of Correas vis-à-vis legal science, takes up its categories to think about the complexity and political nature of the construction of an integral knowledge about the legal phenomenon in capitalist societies and proposes some lines of research that would allow us to continue deepen the Latin American legal critique. It is divided into four sections: the first analyses how legal criticism criticizes bourgeois legal science and what perspective it raises for legal knowledge. In the second, the complexity that exists in the analysis of the link between the legal and social relations. In the third, the way in which the relationship between law, power and hegemony is a factor for legal knowledge. Finally, in the fourth, concepts such as reconfiguration of capital, unequal and combined rule of law, and law under dependent conditions can be lines for the continuation and deepening of legal criticism.
