Abstract

The implementation of social and racial quotas made it possible to redemocratize access to law degrees in Brazil. However, there are barriers such as the identification of legal education offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels by non-white people, and outside the cisheteronormative stereotype, giving rise to the need to demand legal education that encompasses multicultural aspects. In this sense, the article answers the following question: how are whiteness, masculinity and Eurocentrism identified in the postgraduate Law program at the Federal University of Paraná? The methodologies used will be bibliographic review and data analysis. The result identified that the academic profile of postgraduate studies in law at the Federal University of Paraná is mostly white and male, as well as the syllabi of some mandatory subjects offered by the program are based on a male and Eurocentric perspective. The expansion of the racial quota policy, and the inclusion of content that reflects multiculturalism, appear as a starting point for achieving multicultural legal education in postgraduate law at UFPR.
