Abstract

This article intends to discuss religious racism at school, based on the narrative of the process of creating a play at IFF Cabo Frio. This research is aligned with every day life studies and uses narrative as a methodology. From this experience, I think about: colonization and the erasure of Afro-Brazilian cultures; whiteness and its privileges; the advancement of conservative agendas and the growth of evangelical religions in Brazil. Finally, I point to Laws 10,639 and 11,645 as possibilities for tackling these issues, as long as they are implemented collectively in schools.
