Abstract

This article examines the spread of misinformation and the influence of digital platforms in the post-truth era, highlighting how psychometrics used by social networks, advertising, and the entertainment industry manipulates the unconscious, implanting opinions, creating desires, and provoking emotions. Analyzing the commodification of culture and the performance of actions, the study uses theories from Freire, Horkheimer, Adorno, Kahneman, and Haidt to explore the need for an education that goes beyond media literacy, incorporating the development of emotional and sensitive intuitions. The research emphasizes the importance of critical self-perception and deep reflection to effectively resist digital manipulations and cultural pressures, proposing a new educational approach.
