Abstract

This essay addresses questions related to the per­formatic transgenre, considering a piece of fiction by Haroldo Conti, Mascaró, el cazador americano. From an understanding of how performance and writing interrelate themselves, the essay resear­ches a critical and theoretical clue that allows for new perspectives of cultural analysis.

Bolsista de Produtividade do CNPq, doutora em Letras (Língua Espanhola e Literatura Espanhola e Hispano-Americana) pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente é professora Associada I da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. É Presidente da Associação Brasileira de Hispanistas. Tem experiência na área de Letras e atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: literatura latino-americana, teoria literária, América latina, critica literária, estudos culturais, performance escrita, artes performáticas, ensino da língua espanhola, cinema e das culturas hispânicas. Publicou: Ocorpo na letra: Otransgênero performático, performance, exílio, fronteiras: Errâncias territoriais e textuais e mediações performáticas latino-americanas.
