In Rui Nunes’s books, it is customary to denounce a certain rhetoric associated with power, while emphasizing the role of borders in the contemporary world. These are sensitive issues in an "information society" that favours quick and clean communication but is often empty and drives many individuals to the margins. In this article we try to analyse how these topics influence Rui Nunes’s writing, for instance, in terms of narrative or syntactic instability. In addition, we seek to demonstrate that these and other traits are associated with certain ethical and political perspectives that are recurrent in his work.
