Cativos no espelho: Borges lê Echeverría
Keywords:
Argentinean imaginary, frontier’s mythologies, Borges and EcheverríaAbstract
"Juan Murana", chosen by Borges, once a time, as his "best tale", shows the permanent tension between the two central lines of his esthetic. Borges achieved a continuous rereading of the Argentinean's literary tradition. In his dialogue with the Echeverría' s texts, remakes old frontier’s mythologies. In this point of view, the fantastic double’s theme reflects the fear of the other that Argenlinean elites always had.
