Abstract

The book Annoying Music in Everydaylife, by Felipe Trotta, was published in 2020 by Bloomsbury Academic (New York) forming the collection Alternate Takes: Critical Responses to Popular Music. The reflections resulting from several interviews carried out, for the most part, in Rio de Janeiro and Edinburgh (Scotland) point out theoretical and methodological paths for research engaged in similar problems and issues. In this way, such paths can serve as clues for future investigations involving different social contexts and realities.
