Abstract

This dossier brings together a series of texts that propose associations between science and art. The studies are diverse, both regarding the nature of the problems addressed and the methodologies adopted. It reflects on scientific and artistic creative   processes, experimentation and research in art, the poetics of movement and the convergence of fiction and reality. About temporal scope, the themes presented show that understanding the world, through observation, the systematization of information and the generation of knowledge, flows throughout human history, from ancient times to the present, using the intuitive and the rational

Mariela B. Hernández, Universidade Federal da Bahia

Mariela B. Hernández é professora da Universidade Federal da Bahia, onde atua no Bacharelado Interdisciplinar em Artes e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Museologia. Suas áreas de pesquisa são a arte cinética, as relações entre arte e ciência e a arte latino-americana. É Bacharel em Artes, pela Universidad Central de Venezuela, e Mestre e Doutora em Artes Visuais, pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
