Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the insertion of family farming in the Brazilian economic, political and social scenario, based on the discussion of entrepreneurship. We turn to the New Economic Sociology to study economics from its connections with social issues. An analysis of the artisanal production market of Queijo Minas is carried out, using the concept of embeddedness to explain the actor's intentionality in the system of social relations and the formation of the social structure, highlighting its consequences on economic action. We conclude by evaluating entrepreneurship in Brazilian family farming as a strategy to promote sustainable development.
