Abstract

Violence against girls, women, and other bodies that can give birth is a serious and highly prevalent problem in our country. Hence, in this article, we aim to highlight and problematize some forms of violence present in Bill 1.904/2024, which aimed to criminalize abortions in Brazil. In view of this, we conducted a study that produced data based on a documentary analysis of the aforementioned bill. We emphasize that the bill both (re)produces hatred towards the bodies of people who can give birth and advocates rape, racism, and aporophobia, which appear naturalized. The main contribution of this article is to encourage thinking about perspectives that are capable of challenging what is established, by suspecting these forms of violence that have structured Brazilian society.
