Abstract

When I was called to participate in this tribute to my friend Jorge Nassim Vieira Najjar, organized by the Movimento Journal of the Federal University Fluminense, I decided to publish the Legal Opinion that I gave on the occasion of his bench for full professor of the Federal University Fluminense, last July. Jorge, in addition to being an organic intellectual whose trajectory revealed the uncompromising defense of the Public University and the indissociability Teaching, Research and Extension, was responsible for the formation of several generations, always with rigor and commitment, without losing the beauty and lightness that so much charm produced.
