Abstract

In dialogue with debates on the responsiveness and agency nature of research methods and techniques, in the light of contemporary transformations in anthropological work, I examine some elements of a trajectory of investigations with teachers and teaching apprentices. I analyze in which ways the concerns with pedagogical intervention and with the effectiveness of teaching methods and techniques, instead of being taken as difference in relation to the anthropological view, were taken seriously as interferences in research process. I discuss in which ways this process led to a redefinition of the notion of “field” and of classic representations of anthropological practice, making it possible to pay attention to collaborative and experimental explorations with the ethnographic method as intercessors in the destabilization of different dichotomies that permeate the relationships between anthropology, teaching and education.
