Abstract

Taking into account the treatment offered to adverbial subordination in teaching and learning Portuguese, this article presents contributions from Functional Discourse Grammar concerning clausal (in)dependency and the acceptance of Discourse Subordination in the systematization of adverbial relation in teaching

contexts.

Author Biographies

Joceli Catarina Stassi-Sé, UFMS

Licenciada em Letras Português e Inglês pela Universidade Estadual Paulista - IBILCE/UNESP (2000), onde concluiu seu Mestrado (2003) e Doutorado (2012) em Estudos Linguísticos. Cursou doutorado sanduíche na Universiteit van Amsterdam (Amsterdam, Holanda), na área de Gramática Discursivo-Funcional. Atualmente é professora adjunta na Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul, Câmpus de Três Lagoas, no cargo de Linguística/Linguística Aplicada/Inglês. Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Teoria e Análise Linguística e em Linguística Aplicada, atuando nos seguintes temas: gramática discursivo-funcional, perspectiva textual-interativa, subordinação adverbial, subordinação discursiva, conjunções, aquisição de segunda língua, ensino e aprendizagem de língua estrangeira e língua materna.

Erotilde Goreti Pezatti, UNESP

Doutora em Linguística e Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho e concluiu Pós-Doutorado em Gramática Discursivo-Funcional pela Universidade de Amsterdã - Holanda (2005) e pelo Instituto de Linguística Teórica e Computacional em Lisboa - Portugal (2012). Exerce a função de professora Assistente Doutor da Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho Campus de São José do Rio Preto, atuando na Graduação e na Pós-Graduação, na linha de pesquisa Descrição Funcional de Língua Oral e Escrita. É bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq, desde 1994 e líder do Grupo de Pesquisa em Gramática Funcional (GPGF), cadastrado no CNPq desde 2002. Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Teoria e Análise Linguística, atuando principalmente no desenvolvimento de temas como: ordenação de constituintes na sentença, articulação de orações, estrutura argumental e tipologia linguística.
