This study proposes a theoretical reflection on the epic invocation, feature traditionally present in the epics. Using epic works of different eras and origins, which not only corroborate the use of the epic invocation but also demonstrate that the epic genre is still current, it is detailed herein categories from which such epic feature can be understood.
