Abstract

This paper presents a reflection on the literature specialties and on the literary choices made by teachers. Our assumption is that the difficulty in defining literature influences the selection of texts made by teachers as well as the way teachers work the texts with their students.

Graduada em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto e Mestre em Estudos de Linguagens pelo Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG). Atua como professo­ra nas redes estadual e municipal de ensino no município de Itabirito – MG.

Marta Passos Pinheiro, Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG)

Possui mestrado em Literatura Brasileira pela Uni­versidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro e doutorado em Educação pela Univer­sidade Federal de Minas Gerais. É professora do Departamento de Linguagem e Tecnologia do Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG), lecionando no Ensino Médio, na Graduação em Letras e no Mestrado em Estudos de Linguagens. Vem desenvolvendo pesquisas nas áreas de Letras e Educação, com ênfase em Literatura Brasileira.
