The article presents the concept of silence contained in the poetry of Marcos Siscar (1964-) from the dialogue with thinkers and artists of the twentieth century: a silence of excess, instead of the transcendent and unreachable silence of romantic or metaphysical poetry. The aim is to show how powerful this poetic silence paradigm shift nourishes the reading of his poem.
