Abstract

The new fragment (Papyrus Oxyrhinchus LXIX 4708) of Archilochus of Paros first edited by Dirk Obbink (2006), which tells the myth of Telephus, brought new questions about a well-known topic of Archilochus: the flight. Hence, we aim in this article to make a brief analysis of how this fragment can influence the comprehension of this topic in Archilochus, especially, in comparison with the fragment 5 of Martin West’s critical edition (1992).

Rafael de Carvalho Matiello Brunhara, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

É professor de língua e literatura gregas na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Possui Bacharelado em Letras: Português (2008) e Grego (2009) pela Universidade de São Paulo, instituição pela qual também obteve o título de Mestre (2012) e Doutor (2017) em Letras Clássicas. É membro dos seguintes grupos de pesquisa (CNPq): Estudos sobre o jambo, a elegia e a poesia mélica na Antiguidade Clássica (desde 2008); Tradução e recepção da literatura clássica (desde 2015); e ATRIVM - espaço interdisciplinar de estudos da Antiguidade (desde 2016). Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: elegia, poesia grega arcaica, tradução, gêneros literários na Antiguidade.

Thiago Koslowsky da Rosa, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

Possui licenciatura em em Letras - Inglês pela UFRGS. Interessa-se pela poesia lírica grega tendo realizado monografia sobre a elegia histórico-narrativa e participado de iniciação científica dedicada à tradução rítmica de epigramas de Meleagro. Participa, também, de grupo de pesquisa relacionado à comparação de contos brasileiros e australianos.
