Abstract

The reflections presented in this article propose a look at the ritual as a pedagogical method and literary narrative, undertaken by indigenous peoples in quite complex perspectives, among them, as practices that help these peoples to live with the situations of violence to which they are subjected from the first contact. And in a world dominated by the logic of necropolitics, where violence and death are part of government strategies, it is no longer just the “outsiders” who suffer the consequences. The anguish and depression that affect populations in a very generalized way are channeled towards consumption and alienation from the structural causes of our civilization in crisis. We can learn from our relatives how to deal with traumatic situations without avoiding their causes and thus get involved to collectively solve the great contemporary challenges.
