Abstract

Considering the ideal of a critical pedagogy, which enables the student his effective citizen performance in the world, as well as their transformation through a local/global action, this article aims at discussing the Multiliteracies Pedagogy. It endorses this ideal by conceiving a learning proposal that explores the construction of meanings through different senses and modes of understanding the world, including digital media in its practice. The present work uses its concepts to propose a learning plan for English classes in a language course that meets the ideal described above. Besides, it discusses this planning in action, together with the students, and analyzes its development in practice in the classroom, aiming at points to be improved and moments of success.
