Abstract

The work aims to show how the theme of gender and sexuality has been used as a political strategy to meet the interests of fundamentalist political-religious groups. To this end, it is constituted through a qualitative research, using the method of bibliographic review of the theoretical framework that brings together discussions on the subject by specialists in the social sciences, more specifically in the areas of philosophy, sociology, anthropology and the sciences. legal and political. As a result, the way in which gender ideology is constituted as a resistance given by conservative agents, especially religious fundamentalists, to the proposals of discussion about gender and sexuality in schools, meeting the interests of political control through the creation of moral panics constituted to form fear in the population, thus promoting the return of the theological-political and returning to religion the role of instituting social ordination and coercion.
