Through this article I seek to investigate how the MST incorporated agroecology as part of its Popular Agrarian Reform project. To reach a position, the essay upholds that between 1986-1995 the MST presents a theoretical strategy of organization based on the triad: Collectivist Cooperatives, Collective Work and Agroindustries. In a second conformation 1996-2005, we have the triad: Credit Cooperatives, Family Work and Family Farming. By the use of bibliographic review and document analysis, a debate was held with some of the main authors who interpreted the question. The paper argues that the incorporation of agroecology as a horizon for the agrarian reform camps and settlements dialogues with the symbolic logic of the land work of some peasant groups in the MST.
