ANDRESITO GUACURARÍ Y ARTIGAS
A GUARANÍ IN THE IBERO-AMERICAN TRADITION OF STRUGGLE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
Abstract
The article aims to relate the Ibero-American tradition of struggle for human rights (TIDH) with the concrete historical experience of one of the main Guarani heroes of the southern region of Our America. The life of Andresito Guacurarí y Artigas contributes significantly to understanding the resistance of the indigenous peoples, especially the Guaraní Nation in the region of the missions against the kingdoms of Spain and Portugal. In this way, it is intended to collaborate in the historical rescue of that important experience of artiguista liberation praxis.
