Abstract

Abstract: This article intends to expose the discussion about the criminalization of social protest coined by Oscar Correas, denoting its main characteristics, aiming to demonstrate similarities of the process narrated by the Argentine-Mexican jurist with that experienced in Brazil after the promulgation of the Law of Criminal Organizations (12.2850 / 2013), especially with regard to the criminalization of the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (Landless Rural Workers’ Movement, the MST).
