CONFIGURATION AND ACADEMIC PERSPECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH GROUP ON TEACHING IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Abstract
The aim of this study is to understand how the Physical Education Teaching Research Group (GPDEF) is structured and disseminates its research in the field of Physical Education in schools. It adopts the documentary-bibliographic method and combines the use of bibliometric techniques and qualitative data analysis. The sources are GPDEF productions, articles, teaching, research and extension projects from 2022 to 2025. The results show that GPDEF research is genuine and collaborative, with both national and international scope. There was a recurrence of themes aligned with GPDEF's research lines and the graduate programs in which its coordinators and members are involved, producing knowledge in an articulated manner with the projects developed in the teaching, research and extension tripod. Thus, it was found that the GPDEF adopts knowledge production strategies influenced mainly by Capes evaluation indicators for postgraduate programs, without disregarding, however, the political-social commitment of its members to qualified teacher training and the dissemination of collectively produced knowledge, which expresses a perspective of school physical education.
