Exploring Research Techniques

Research techniques play a fundamental role in guiding scientific investigations. This study aimed to analyze the 10th International Symposium on Agrarian Geography through the use of qualitative techniques such as photography, fieldwork, and interviews, as well as to explore the experiences of the interviewees during conversations. The research was conducted at the University of São Paulo (USP) from November 14 to 18, 2023, using a qualitative approach based on a literature review of books, articles, and specialized sources. The results indicated that the interviewees had diverse perceptions of the event and the most commonly employed qualitative techniques, reflecting the subjectivity of each participant and their specific objectives in attending the symposium. It is concluded that this diversity of perspectives significantly contributed to enriching and updating the debates promoted during the event.
