Abstract

In the academic year of 2021, in order to encourage drawing in remote Geography classes (due to the global pandemic of Covid-19) I decided to participate with four classes of the 6th grade of Elementary School in the “Cartography for Children Contest”. In this text, I present some drawings produced by basic education students during cartographic literacy classes. The activity brought new perspectives on school Cartography and led students to realize that they can and should be protagonists in the elaboration of maps.
