Pedagogies of place/Geographies of Experience
Keywords:

This is the translation of the article “Pedagogies of Place/Geographies of Experience”, published by Ellyn Lyle in Pathways: The Ontario Journal of Outdoor Education in 2015. With an approach centered on the lived and living experience of place, the author introduces us to place-based educators and narratively invites us to explore four themes that shape her relationship with teaching: communication, responsiveness, integrity, and critical consciousness. This is an invitation to consider place as a space of wide-awakening, enabling us to a deeper understanding of who we are in the experience of teaching and learning.
