This article aims to reflect about the notion of memory, based on the theory of the discourse, inscribed in a post-dualist frame, i.e., the one considering the material circumstances of the verbal productions as totally integrated with these productions. From the notion of discursive memory as proposed by Jean-Jacques Courtine, in 1981, we elaborate the notion of discursive dismemory, inspired by the works of Régine Robin. These two notions allow us to consider the way some opeakers show struggles and resistances in their discourse. We are particularly interested in the proper name, in its dimension of name of memory, and, to do that, we propose five discursive images, i.e., five cases of inscription and disinscription of proper names in realities emotionally or politically marked. These cases are presented from photographies of names contextualized.
