This article intends a reflection on the literary canonic formation and the emergency of the homosexuality as speech suggested for the episode of History and Portuguese Literature known as "literature of Sodom ".

Mario Cesar Lugarinho, UFF

Doutor em Letras pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1997), é Professor Adjunto de Literatura Portuguesa e Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa do Instituto de Letras da Universidade Federal Fluminense. Com bolsa de produtividade em pesquisa do CNPq, vem se dedicando aos Estudos Gays e Lésbicos, tendo publicado artigos em jornais de grande circulação e revistas especializadas no Brasil e no exterior.
