On continuities and discontinuities in Hip-Hop culture
the case of Mozambique. Interview with Simba Sítoi, Mozambican Hip-Hop artist

This text presents a remote interview, transcribed and edited, with Simba Sitói (Hip-Hop artist in Moçambique), conducted on June 20, 2024. It is about two of the most influential artists from Moçambique, active in Hip-Hop culture, as a rapper and cultural producer. He is the idealizer of important events linked to the topic, or that include the young artist's prominence in the “Amor A Camisola” Hip-Hop Festival. In its work, Simba explains elements and questions pertinent to the study of the area, the quais apontam for the course of continuities and discontinuities of a globalized culture, negotiated and locally re-signified. Help us, therefore, which justifies even the interview in this dossiê, to reinforce our argument around the complex and dynamic process of the aforementioned culture.
