The article presents the context of the increase in cases of violence against women during the covid -19 pandemic and how the theme has been explored in different media productions, from the press to television drama content. In this sense, the text highlights that the media can help to reconfigure the sexist cultural patterns that naturalize violence against women, or, on the other hand, ratify it based on the confirmation of stereotypes and common sense believes. Based on this approach, the article presents the six texts that make up the dossier Violence Against Women in Media Narratives, concluding on the importance of consolidating academic research on the topic of violence against women as a strategy for coping with the problem.
