The reflections presented here are based on the data generated by the Mapping and Assessment conducted in 2021 by the Observatory of Cultural Diversity-ODC Brasil in collaboration with the Culture Points’ Network of Minas Gerais. We will provide a general overview of the methodology and a brief characterization of the Culture Points in Minas Gerais, focusing on their institutional structures, activities, geographical distribution, and infrastructure. We will also highlight two dimensions that appear emblematic of this reality, both regionally and nationally: the economic vitality of the Culture Points and the significance of the Aldir Blanc Law I in strengthening the network organization of community cultural entities.
