Abstract

The article narrates a teaching experience with students of the Bachelor's Degree in Indigenous Education of the National Pedagogical University in Mexico, in the conditions of the pandemic generated by SARS COV2, with the purpose of exposing through the individual experience the cultural and social dimensions. It begins by defining terms that have been used indistinctly such as virtual, online, distance and remote emergency education.  Based on the above concepts, various situations in the development of the so-called emergency remote education are described, where the difficulties of students and teachers stand out, and then it is suggested that this situation can be an opportunity for a change in the educational paradigm that allows us to rethink our ways of teaching and learning, the curricular contents, among other aspects.
