A hegemonia capitalista e a comunicação de massa

O artigo aborda a importância e as funções dos meios de comunicação de massa no âmbito das sociedades capitalistas. Na análise desenvolvida, são tratados temas referentes à cultura – estabelecendo-se distinções entre a cultura popular e a cultura de massa -, à industria cultural e à função de hegemonia exercida por esses meios. O trabalho fundamenta-se no pensamento de Antonio Gramsci, tomando, também, como interlocutores, Theodor Adorno e Walter Benjamin.
