Abstract

O Documento é um extrato do número especial da Revista Rinascita, intitulado "Gramsci nel mondo", de 28 de fevereiro de 1987, alusivo ao cinquentenário da morte de Antonio Gramsci. Trata-se do artigo “Para entender as classes subalternas”, de Eric Hobsbawm, inédito no Brasil, cuja tradução foi realizada pela Profª Drª Anita Helena Schlesener, quem apresenta este Documento. No artigo, Eric Hobsbawm comenta o trabalho de Gramsci como interprete do marxismo, com uma grande contribuição para as ciências sociais.
