Abstract

Present in several contemporary cultural products, transmedia transforms the act of narrating stories in a multiplatform experience based on the triad media convergence, participatory culture and collective intelligence. In this essay, we will examine the possible types of participation in transmedial productions, using as example the case of the British TV series Sherlock, in which fan contributions were incorporated into the canonical content of the franchise.
