Abstract

This text presents the first chapter of Patrick Chamoiseau's Écrire en Pays Dominé, in order to recognize the existence of a domination that silently acts on the collective imaginary of Martinique and to investigate the role of (re)reading literary works as a tool of resistance to this control.

Luciana Ambrósio, Universidade Federal Fluminense

Possui Licenciatura em Letras Francês/Português pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2007) e Mestrado em Estudos de Literatura pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2012). Tem em seu campo de estudo as Literaturas Francófonas, com especial atenção à produção literária marti­nicana. Atualmente, é professora de língua francesa no Programa de Línguas Estrangeiras Modernas da UFF.
