Pedro II School: democracy in additional language teaching

Abstract

This paper aims at presenting Pedro II School as an important agent in the democratization of additional language teaching in Brazilian public education today. Based on documentary research, we present a historical panorama of institutional language policies in articulation with educational language policies on a national basis.
