Glotofobia, fenômeno de estigmatização social: entrevista com Philippe Blanchet

Abstract

In this interview, sociolinguist Philippe Blanchet addresses the topic of linguistic discrimination, which he defined as glotophobia. Blanchet contributed enormously to the conceptualization of this phenomenon and has been working in the fight against this type of social segregation. This interview took place months after the end of my doctoral internship under his direction, assisted by Professor Gudrun Ledegen, at the PREFICS laboratory (Pôle de Recherche Francophonies, Interculturel, Communication, Sociolinguistique), at the Université de Rennes 2. This internship was carried out at scope of the CAPES-PrInt internationalization project "Multilingualism, linguistic rights and social inequality", from Universidade Federal Fluminense.

Author Biography

Shirlei Baptistone , Instituto de Letras, UFF

Docente de Graduação (Departamento GLE) e de Pós- Graduação (Estudos de Linguagem) do Instituto de Letras da Universidade Federal Fluminense-UFF desde 2010. Possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ- 1987), especialização em língua e literatura francesa pela UFRJ (1989), Mestrado em Letras pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), com pesquisa na área de política linguística e ensino de LE (2002), sob orientação da Profª Mônica Savedra. Possui doutorado pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), na área de Estudos da linguagem, orientada pelo Profº Jürgen Heye. Foi bolsista CAPES/PDEE na Université de Provence, (2005-2006), sob a orientação do Prof. Louis-Jean Calvet. Atualmente, orienta e desenvolve pesquisas nas áreas de avaliação de políticas linguísticas. Atua, principalmente, nos seguintes temas: sociolinguística, educação bilíngue, política linguística e língua francesa; é membro do GT de Sociolinguística da ANPOLL; é presidenta da Associação de Professores de Francês do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (APFERJ), na gestão 2014-2016. Atua como vice líder do grupo de pesquisa (CNPq) : Laboratório de pesquisas em contato linguístico - LABPEC; é representante da UFF (língua francesa) junto ao MEC no Programa Idiomas sem Fronteiras. Membro da chapa eleita para a Diretoria da ABRALIN (Associação Brasileira de Linguística) para o biênio 2015-2017.
